Grav-i-Flo V3-412-50 Grav-i-Flo V3-412-50

Standard Features
The Grav-i-Flo V3-412-50 Spin Finishing Machine is a mechanical buffing machine driven with a 50 HP motor, and equipped with a gear reducer to move the fixtures holding the parts through the media mass.

Machines are built to hold 2, 3, or 4 fixtures, and are typically used with a plastic media for the wet process, and a cob type media for the dry process.

A jog control and breaking mechanism is provided for indexing the fixtures to an unloading position where a mechanical air operated loading arm assist in removing and replacing the fixtures in quick acting "rolling ball" chuck locks.

The machine cycle is fully automatic upon pressing the start button.

The Spin Finishing Machine is equipped with a compound temperature control system with integral water jacket surrounding the tub.

The V3-412-50 is shipped in a ready to run condition; the purchaser is responsible for the electrical, water, and air hook ups.

Advantages of the Spin-Finish Process
  • CLEANING EASE
Parts are very easily cleaned prior to decorative plating. No degreasing operation is necessary. Normal cleaning is all that is needed.

  • PRODUCTION FLEXIBILITY
Because a variety of different parts may be processed at the same time, if desired, this machine is capable of either high production volume on a single part or low production on a variety of different parts - making it excellent for processing low volume service work.

  • VERSATILITY
The machine is capable of processing a variety of different parts at the same time as well as different metals. It may be used for both wet and/or dry processing.

  • UNIFORM FINISH
Being a mechanical process, all parts are finished exactly the same each time which is not true in conventional hand finishing operations.

  • GUARANTEED PROCESS
Grav Co will guarantee production quantities and cost of operation and finish quality after a sample processing of parts.

  • NO SKILLED LABOR REQUIRED
Operation of the equipment is very simple and operators are trained easily. No particular skill is required.

  • LOWER OPERATING COSTS
The Spin-Finish process costs less to operate than conventional buffing equipment. This mechanical buffing process eliminates hand buffing and represents a very substantial savings in labor costs.

  • SAFER OPERATING ENVIRONMENT
There are no hazards to the operators of flying parts in this process. Operator is safe from injury when properly operated.

  • PROCESS COSTS ACCURATELY CALCULATED
There is a fixed hourly cost for operation of the machine, which makes it very simple to determine unit cost of any part being processed.

  • NO SETUP TIME REQUIRED
To change over from one part to another only requires the placement of a different part loaded fixture into the quick acting chuck.
